About Me
I live with my husband and our 4 children aged 12, 10, 8 and 6. They have given me over 12 years childcare experience and an understanding of just how individual each child is.
I decided to become a childminder not just as a convenient occupation whilst my own children are young, but as an important part of my career plan. I hope to pursue a career involving children and am currently studying for a BA (hons) degree in Childhood and Youth Studies.
Before starting childminding, I also worked on a voluntary basis in my children's schools and preschool.
I attend regular courses related to childminding and have also studied and achievedThe Certificate in Early Year Practive with the Open University. This is recognised on the National Qualifications Framework as equivalent to aLevel 4 qualification in childcare (Please see links page for more information).
